Just a quick little post on one of the Holiday 2014 nail polishes from Dior! All of these photos were taken on my cell phone since my camera has gone on the fritz. Below is a picture from the Dior website featuring all the gorgeous holiday nail colors. I restrained myself to just one bottle…Shock #762 (the red color on the right). 🙂
I can’t resist these bottles…they put me in such a happy mood, making me so excited for the holidays when all my family is in town. There is nothing better than decorating the house for Christmas, and these bottles remind me of the pretty Christmas ornaments.
I love the gold box, again reminiscent of Christmas for me, like opening a beautifully wrapped present.
The polish has 12ml of product in it, 2ml more than the regular Dior nail polishes which have 10ml. The price of Diorific Shock #762 was $27.00 and the regular Dior polishes are $25. Pretty good deal, 2ml more product for $2.00. So far so good!
Upon applying the polish, I found that the round handle made it a bit difficult to apply the nail polish on my nails. It wasn’t as easy as the regular Dior applicator, and for someone who is nail polish challenged like me, this made it hard for me to apply as you will see in the next photo.
I wasn’t able to apply this perfectly (grr) so there was some polish on the skin of my thumb. I suppose its a minor issue but I hate it when I make mistakes. The longevity wasn’t that great, it lasted about a day. This is average for me, I am astonished when some people say their nail polish lasts 7 days! Even with primer coats and top coats, the maximum on me is about 3 days.
Final verdict, a great red holiday nail polish, the minor issues do not deter me in its perfect Dior Christmas ornament beauty. I am coveting the gold leaf top coat. 🙂
Have you tried these? Let me know what you think! Have a great day!
